Age Categories
The Valley City Express wrestling club will again host their annual youth folkstyle tournament on Saturday, February 27th, 2010.
* USAW age groups instead of grades to help make sure to pair kids up with kids of equal ages
* 5 man round robin instead of 4 - get 4 matches in to make for a good day of live wrestling
* Novice and Schoolboy Divisions are three 1 1/2 minute periods (50% more wrestling time than the short three 1 minute periods)
* All Trophy tournament - every kid gets to come home proud with a trophy
We'd love to host kids from your town or club and wanted to get a date out for those of you trying to put your youth schedule together and to hopefully avoid conflicting with dates for other tournaments that are being set. Send a quick email to let us know how many you think may be coming from your club/town so we can get a good idea of numbers prior to the tournament day.

Awards: All Trophy, 1st - 5th
Where: Valley City High School Activity Center, Valley City, ND
Weigh-Ins: 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM
Wrestling: Starts at 10:30 AM
Format: 5 Man Round Robin, USAW age divisions.
Sub-bantam(born 2004 and later) (1, 1, 1)
Bantam (born 2002 & 2003) (1, 1, 1)
Intermediate (born in 2000 & 2001)(1, 1, 1)
Novice (born in 1998 & 1999) (1 , 1 , 1 )
Schoolboy (born in 1996 & 1997) (1 , 1 , 1 )
USAW cards are not required.
We will also have a pancake breakfast available so kids can get weighed in and then get a quick bite to eat. Great concessions and a great tournament in Valley Citys new HiLiner Activity Center. We look forward to hosting your team and fans.
